Behavioral Health Training
Meridian offers trainings for both behavioral health and physical health providers in our network at no cost. Our team provides mostly clinical, provider-focused education on topics that are geared towards improving member outcomes. The majority of our clinical trainings also offer behavioral health continuing education units also at no cost to the attendee. Trainings are completed via live/virtual instructor led webinars.
How to sign up for trainings:

- Select the training date and time that you would like to attend
- Enter the required information and click “Register”
- You will receive a confirmation email with a link and instructions for joining the webinar.
NOTE: Please check your junk folder if you do not receive the confirmation email. - When you join the webinar, the call-in telephone number and an attendee passcode will be displayed.

Health Equity Training
Meridian wants to ensure our providers have the tools to meet the unique and diverse needs of all our members. The training resources provided below facilitate foundational knowledge and skill development on topics related to health equity, health disparities, and structural social determinants of health, some of which also focus on the Black maternal health crisis.

Women & Children's Services (WCS)
Healthy Michigan Plan's WCS program is designed to work in collaboration with providers to assist members with achieving optimal health outcomes for women & children, including pregnancy. Healthy Michigan Plan emphasizes the importance of actively pursuing and obtaining early preventive care. Educating members about their health is a key component of our agenda. - Streamlined authorization process for pregnancy-related services
OB/Gyns can request necessary services by contacting WCS directly, independent of the PCP.
- Additional support services for pregnant women and infants
Maternal Infant Health Program, childbirth education classes, diabetic education training, and nutrition classes when applicable.
- Member health updates for providers
Important women & children's HEDIS® measures, including lead screenings, Adolescent & Well-Child visits, Pap tests, mammograms, chlamydia tests, prenatal & postpartum visits.
- A variety of outreach efforts for female members
Helping our female members to take charge of their health, and eagerly seek early preventive care for themselves and their children.
