2023 HEDIS Hybrid Heads Up

Meridian, Ambetter from Meridian, and Wellcare need your assistance to complete the requirements for the Healthcare Effectiveness Data Information Set (HEDIS^®) hybrid project. We are notifying all partners in care that the HEDIS^® 2023 Hybrid season will begin January 2024 and will end April 2024. Records from your office may be requested for dates of service in 2023 or prior for measures not already captured by claims. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated as our health plan may need to either visit your office or request records via fax, mail, or electronic medical record (EMR).

What you should know about HEDIS® and the data collection process:

WHAT IS HEDIS^®?

• HEDIS® is a tool used by more than 90 percent of America’s health plans to measure performance on important dimensions of care and service. Data is gathered through claims and medical records to determine the effectiveness and quality of care provided by the health plans and its network of providers.

TIMING

• Our health plan will be contacting you in the first quarter of 2024, if you are part of our Hybrid sample, and the collection and abstraction process must end on or before April 28th, 2024.

Your timeliness in response with medical record requests will assist with a successful HEDIS^® 2023 Hybrid season.
