Important Dental Provider Change

We are pleased to announce that, effective March 1, 2024 Meridian and MeridianComplete (Medicare-Medicaid Plan) memberswill be transitioning to Delta Dental of Michigan.

Our intent is to make the transition to Delta Dental as seamless as possible for both our members and providers. The phone numbers to call for questions regarding dental services will remain the same, prior authorizations obtained before the effective date will be honored and Delta Dental is working to minimize the disruption to the network by proactively contacting out-of-network dental providers, for credentialing and contracting.Delta Dental is the largest dental benefits carrier in the nation, providing greater access to services for our members and with more than 60 years of experience we are confident that this change will improve the member and provider experience.

Below is a list of commonly asked questions:

• When will the transition to Delta Dental take place for Meridian Medicaid and MMP members?
  March 1, 2024
• Will member benefits be changing?
  No, there will be no changes to member benefits.
• Does this include the Wellcare Medicare Michigan plan, Ambetter and other Wellcare plans?
  No, this transition is only impacting Meridian (Medicaid) and MeridianComplete (MMP) plans.
• What will the process be for patient’s who are mid-treatment under DentaQuest with pretreatments/priorauthorizations for service?
  Delta Dental will be provided a list of all members who are mid-treatment and they will cover the remainder of their services as long as proper paperwork is on file.
