What is a Doula?

  • Doulas can help you get the support and resources you need
  • Doulas will offer many ways to help ease your labor paint and keep you calm
  • Doulas will help you make a birth plan and help plan for your baby
  • Doulas are on call 24/7 and will meet and stay with you during labor and delivery
  • Doulas will provide prenatal, childbirth, and postpartum education to you and your family
  • Doulas will support your cultural traditions and preferences during pregnancy, delivery and after your baby is born

  • Are two times less likely to have birth complications
  • Are four times less likely to have a low birth weight baby
  • Have less stress, anxiety, and depression
